Dear Friends,
What matters to you in our Carlisle community? Surveys and master plans
over the years consistently show that open space, conservation land, rural vistas,
wildlife habitat, access to nature, and trails comprise the essential soul of Carlisle.
Protecting all of this, for all of us, is at the core of CCF’s mission.
Have you visited the CCF-initiated art exhibition at the Gleason Public Library?
I guarantee it will lift your soul. The works are an inspiring reflection of the
preserved spaces that surround us. When you visit, please take the time to read
the labels describing CCF’s role for each property. For 60+ years CCF has worked
in a variety of ways to protect and preserve these spaces which provide refuge,
habitat, and environmental benefits, places to educate, escape, and connect to
nature, and space for all of us to unwind, unplug, and reset.
Join with us and give generously to CCF this year. We have a strong board of
active volunteers who are committed to continuing this work for our community.
Your contribution will help us preserve and grow these open spaces
that nourish the soul.
Sincerely,
Kelly Guarino, President

Above: As part of its mission to be a resource for community education about conservation, including sponsoring the Blanding's Turtle Head Start Program in the Carlisle Schools for the past 14 years and Nature Walks during the warmer seasons and occasional Nature Talks in winter, CCF Board members also pitch in to help youth groups such as the Scouts pictured above.
Below: Three of the many wonderful artworks by local artists inspired by Carlisle's open spaces, featured in the exhibition: "A Celebration of the Carlisle Conservation Foundation's 60th Anniversary" at the Gleason Public Library from October 1 through December 31, 2022. Each artwork was accompanied by a label highlighting the role of CCF in the preservation of the parcel depicted. |
