Dear Friends,
This year, our message is simple. Amid the chaos and stressors wrought by COVID-19, how lucky we are to have easy access to nature in Carlisle. We are indebted to the handful of visionaries who, 60 years ago, founded CCF with the mission of preserving the natural beauty and rural character of Carlisle.
We are grateful that their early efforts led to the preserved habitat, woodlands, fields, swamps, open vistas, farmlands, and trail system we enjoy today. In a world where humans are entirely too sedentary, we are grateful that we can walk on trails in Carlisle for hours, and days. In a world with increased mental health concerns, we are grateful that Carlisle conservation land
provides access to the healing power of nature. In a world addressing climate change, we are grateful that the activities of CCF are part of the solution.
In a world where income disparity and racial justice have become a critical part of the conversation, we are grateful that the benefits of conservation land are free and accessible to all. In a season of contentious campaigning,
we are grateful that nature is largely apolitical. In a world turned upside down by a pandemic, we are grateful that nature right here in Carlisle can provide refuge, connection, grace, and joy.
We hope that you join us in this gratitude and give generously to CCF this year. Your contribution will help us build on the groundwork laid by the founders of CCF 60 years ago and help us preserve and grow this Carlisle
resource for generations to come.
Sincerely,
Kelly Guarino, President
