Vivian's Place

This wonderful outdoor memorial featuring the sculpture of nationally-known artist Joe Wheelwright was dedicated on Old Home Day in memory of Vivian Chaput, a vibrant town leader and strong supporter of conservation, who died in 2004. Vivianís Place is located near Town Hall at the trailhead to the Conant Land. Vivian's Place was created to serve as a place of contemplation, an outdoor classroom, a setting for occasional programs and a celebration of Vivian's life.

Pictured at right are Joe Wheelwright, Marjie Findlay, Ron Chaput and Jay Luby sitting in front of one of two carved boulders that are set among other natural boul-ders on the ledge outcropping overlooking the Conant woods.
