CCF Annual Meeting at the Cranberry Bog

In recognition of the Town's purchase of this valuable piece of conservation land 20 years ago, CCF held its Annual Meeting at Carlisle's Cranberry Bog this past June. Ernie Huber was on hand to talk about the Bog's beekeeping operations,

Steve Spang led all ages on bird walks, and others kayaked and canoed in the holding pond.

Attendees were offered wonderful reminiscences by Dick Martin who had worked for the Lowell Cranberry Company as well as an interesting explanation of current cranberry farming operations by Mark Duffy, "Carlisle's farmer". All were treated to delicious ice cream sundaes from Great Brook Farm Dairy.
