Malcolm Preserve: Partnerships in Land Stewardship

As co-owners of the Malcolm Preserve, CCF and The Trustees of Reservations (TTOR) share in the responsibility of the care of these 10.6 acres of open space off Stearns Street in Carlisle. But the partnership extends beyond CCF and TTOR as Malcolm Meadows residents and other neighbors have also taken a stewardship interest in maintaining this multi-use property that is one of Carlisle's gateways to Estabrook Woods. The handicapped accessible trails add a unique dimension to this protected property. CCF has dedicated funds to pay for trail maintenance and materials such as stone dust, while TTOR provides the manpower to maintain these wonderful paths. TTOR is responsible for mowing the open spaces and neighbors have been keeping the stone walls clear of brush and shrubs. We invite you to visit the Malcolm Preserve and enjoy the benefits of these partnerships.
