This year Carlisle lost a true friend of conservation and a strong advocate for open space and land preservation with the untimely death of Vivian Chaput. At the request of her family, donations in her memory were directed to the Carlisle Conservation Foundation. To date, CCF has received $17,278.25 in Vivian‘s name. A small CCF committee has been meeting with family representatives and friends to consider proposals that honor Vivian’s commitment to conservation and reflect her family’s wishes. The Town continues to feel the loss of Vivian; we send our thoughts to her family. We expect the announcement of a fitting tribute to be made in the next several months.
