Board Changes

We are delighted to welcome David Freedman who joins the CCF Board after two terms on the Planning Board; he also worked on the Town’s Affordable Housing Plan. David has graciously donated his time the past three years to lay out this annual newsletter.

We are sad to see two key members leave the board. Alex Parra has retired after 9 years on the board. Carlisle’s 2005 Conservationist of the Year, Alex was a key player in the Robbins/­Hutchins Field and Benfield conservation parcels as well as many other recent land protection successes. Larry Sorli is retiring after serving the Board since 1999.

As a life-long resident of Carlisle with a deep commitment to protecting its open space, Larry has provided invaluable perspectives on Carlisle’s land use past and present and on the values and rural aesthetic he shares with other long-time residents. Alex and Larry will be missed.
